PETROVIC WINS IN MIRANDELA TO CLAIM FREESTYLE TITLE
Monday, 25 July: Aleksandar Petrovic has landed his first European title with overall victory in Freestyle in Mirandela.
With points’ leader Rok Florjancic and brother Nac both missing in action, the Freestyler from Podgorica in Montenegro took over the mantle as the man to beat, but maximum points in heats 1&2 and second place behind defending champion Roberto Mariani in heat 3 was enough to give Petrovic the European title, Mariani taking the runners-up slot with Portugal’s Paulo Nunes third.
