GRAND PRIX DECIDER – WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP PODIUM SPOTS UP FOR GRABS

Wednesday, 20 December, SHARJAH (UAE): The final acts of the 2017 season will be played out on Khalid Lagoon this afternoon with the UIM-ABP Grand Prix of Sharjah titles to be decided and slots on the world championship podium up for grabs.

In Runabout the three-way fight that has unfolded all season will continue between Yousef Al Abdulrazzaq, Lars Akerblom and James Bushell. The now four time champion Abdulrazzaq is well-placed with two wins under his belt and on top with 50 points, a 13 point advantage.

As well as trying to steal away the GP title, Akerblom and Bushell will play out their own private battle for the remaining two spots on the championship podium.

In Ski, Kevin Reiterer will be aiming to maintain his unbeaten run in Sharjah and complete a hat-trick of titles and seal the overall runners-up spot, Quinten Bossche his main challenger for the GP title with an enticing encounter looming for the final place on the championship podium between Mickael and Jeremy Poret.

Only a complete meltdown from Emma-Nellie Ortendahl will halt her charge to her second title in Sharjah, the fight going on behind her likely to be between Krista Uzare and Kylie Ellmers, who will also have the final championship podium slot in mind as Estelle Poret looks to have the runners-up place wrapped up.

The one remaining world title to be decided is in Freestyle with Nac Florjancic a couple of backflips and 360’s away from a second world title, whilst Rashed Al Mulla is the beyond odds on favourite to win the Grand Prix title.
