Grand Prix of France

The city of Vichy is located northeast of Clermont-Ferrand and is the second largest city in Auvergne.

Vichy is a major spa town very popular with those seeking the healing powers of the local water.

Much of the city dates back to the 19th and 20th centuries, partly due to the development of the thermal water industry from that period: it was Napoleon III who first brought them to the public's attention. There are several natural water sources in the city, some war and some cold.

You can admire the ornate buildings that were the grand hotels where visitors to Vichy stayed in the early 20th century, stroll along the pleasant avenues and walk along the river banks, and if you visit in summer there is also a beach on the river in the city.

The Vichy riverfront continues for several kilometers and features some small cafes, and is one of the most popular activities in the city, both among visitors and residents.
