Thursday, 3 October, LIUZHOU (China): It was a day of mixed performances for the eight Chinese riders in today’s official qualifying session ahead of tomorrow’s heats in the UIM-ABP Aquabike Class Pro Grand Prix of China.

In runabout GP1 Wu Ronghua produced the best showing of the day easing through Q1, after seeing his countrymen Yang Liu, Liu Yi Chen and Yue Di Zhi fail to make the cut, and then went on to post a very competitive 1min 24.34secs and go fifth fastest in Q2.

Fan Zhi Xiong was the pick of the riders in Ski GP1 grabbing eighth fastest ahead of Li Chao Fan, with Yue Nixin the first of the ladies home in tenth, but there was disappointment for Li Qian Qian who failed to make the cut in Q1 after finishing 11^th.
