FRACASSO AND PORET TOP QUALIFIERS IN VIVERONE

Sunday, 4 August. VIVERONE (Italy): Mattia Fracasso and Jeremy Poret will have the advantage going into today’s heat 1 of the UIM-ABP Class Pro Aquabike European Championship on Lago di Viverone.

 

In Runabout GP1, Italy’s Mattia Fraccaso won the 17-lap race to decide the starting grid finishing ahead of countrymen Lorenzo Benaglia and Angelo Bertozzi.

 

France’s World Champion Jeremy Poret grabbed P1 in Ski GP1 taking the chequered flag of the 11-lap race ahead of Portugal’s Tiago Sousa and Italy’s Franco Piscaglia. Pija Sumer was the first of the women across the line in ninth, finishing one place ahead of World Champion Stefania Balzer.

 

William Bajolet grabbed top points in Freestyle ahead of Nicolas Denille and Roberto Mariani.

 

Heats 1 start at 14.00hrs (local) followed by heats 2 at 16.00hrs (local)
