Monday, 3 March: Slovenia’s UIM-ABP Aquabike stars Pija Sumer and Rok Florjancic received their World Championship trophies at the glittering fifth annual UIM Prize Giving Gala Awards at the prestigious Salle des Etoiles in Monaco on the weekend.
Both hailing from Maribor, Pija picked up the Ski GP1 ladies title after winning all but one of her races in 2013, with Rok going one better and winning all his heats and remains unbeaten in his three seasons and eight outings on the UIM-ABP tour.
Collecting his trophy for winning Russky Offshore 2013 after an outstanding performance in Vladivostok winning three out of five heats around Russky Island was Frenchman Jean-bruno Pastorello, receiving his award from H2O Racing Marketing Director, Raimondo di San Germano.
France’s Cyrille Lemoine was another ABP star on show, picking up yet another trophy to add to his already full cabinet for winning the 2013 Slalom World title in Doha, the French ace attending the gala evening with girlfriend, Nadege.
