Thursday, 29 May: With just seven days to go the much anticipated Grand Prix of Italy and the first ever Aquabike Music Festival (AMF) 5-8 June, the event was officially launched at today’s press conference at the Palazzo Isimbardi in Milan.
The Grand Prix of Italy, round 2 of the UIM-ABP Aquabike Class Pro World Championship has seen a record number of entries with 88 riders from 19 countries, with a host of World, European and National Champions across all categories [Runabout and Ski GP1 and Freestyle] set to descend on Idroscalo next week.
To add to the fast and furious excitement and entertainment on the water is the launch of the inaugural Aquabike Music Festival (AMF) with a host of internationally renowned musicians and up-and-coming DJs taking to their own stage in the evenings.
A series of spectacular night shows managed by Nicolo Cavalchini kicks off on Thursday [5 June] when renowned French duo Klingande and internationally acclaimed DJs ramp up the volume during the Slalom World Championship and Freestyle show.
On Friday night Christian Vlad presents Dance Corner Night along with Simon De Jano, Andrea Pellizzari, Bottai and Alex Guesta, with Nicolo Cavalchini and his band and Simon De Jano leading the proceedings for the annual Summer Opening Ceremony of the Idroscalo on Saturday night.
First practice and qualifying for Runabout and Ski GP1 and Freestyle is on Friday, free practice and Race 1 on Saturday with a final free practice and Race 2 on Sunday and followed by the official podium presentations.
