Sunday, 4 October, LIUZHOU (China): Austria’s Kevin Reiterer dominated heat 1 in Ski to take his second win of the season and close the gap on point’s leader Jeremy Poret who finished second, with Nacho Armillas in third.
Reiterer grabbed the advantage from pole-sitter Poret on the run to the first mark and looked in control for 5 of the 10 laps.
Lap 5 was key; Poret looked to be closing down Reiterer but in his pursuit was severely hampered by a back-marker losing more time than he had made up, raising his fist in frustration as he eventually got passed, but was unable to recover the last time.
Nacho Armillas was unable to live with the pace of the front two coming home ahead of Mickael Poret the two equal on points coming to China.
Norway’s Stian Schetlein grabbed his best result of the season with fifth ahead of a solid debut on the tour for Raphael Maurin. Alex Barrett salvaged valuable points moving up from the back of the 15 rider field to take eighth behind Morgan Poret.
