Monday, 15 June: Aquabike Promotion has issued the 2015 midterm World Rankings with riders from France, Spain and Slovenia sitting in the top spots.
Maintaining his ranking as world number 1 in Runabout with 1183 points is 28-year-old Jeremy Perez from Lambesc in France following his second overall in round 1 of the World Championship in Qatar, fifth place in Italy and first place in round 1 of the European Continental Championship in Porec. Qatar and Italy GP winners Thamer Al Darwish and Khalifa Belselah are second and third.
In Ski, Qatar GP winner Nacho Armillas leads the Poret brothers Jeremy and Mickael, with Jennifer Menard top of the standings ahead of Estelle Poret and Emma-Nellie Ortendahl, Slovenia’s Nac and Rok Florjancic dominating Freestyle, Italy’s Roberto Mariani in third.
The first Rankings of 2015 representing riders from 24 countries carries over 20% of points accumulated in 2014 and the results so far submitted by the organisers or UIM National Authorities from the opening two rounds of the UIM-ABP Aquabike Class Pro World Championship, round 1 of the UIM-ABP Aquabike Continental Championship and round 1 of the Hungarian National Championship.
