Sunday, 20 December, SHARJAH (UAE): Austria’s Kevin Reiterer produced a flawless run in race 1 to take his to fourth win of the year on the UIM-ABP tour and win the 2015 UIM-ABP Aquabike Ski World Championship.
A dramatic opening couple of laps saw title challengers Jeremy Poret and Nacho Armillas in trouble, defending champion Poret dropping out on lap one with engine problems, Armillas taking a big fall on lap 2 and unable to recover, finishing in 11th.
Raphael Maurin grabbed his best result on his second appearance this year finishing second ahead of Stian Schjetlein.
Another pre-race title hopeful, Mickael Poret, had his hopes dashed after struggling with technical issues at the start and coming home in fifth.
