Sunday, 24 May, CASTRO (Italy): Ugo Fidelin is on the road to recovery following his crash yesterday in heat 1 of Runabout, his teammates saying his mood is good.

Following the crash the Martinique rider was immediately taken to a local hospital and later transferred to a hospital in Lecce.

He has sustained fractures to his hips and will remain in hospital for further examination and observation.

Everyone in the Aquabike paddock wishes Ugo well and for a speedy recovery.
