NORWAY’S ANDERSEN FASTEST IN SKI GP2
Friday, 2 June, PORTO CESAREO (Italy): Norway’s Daniel Svae Andersen continues his run of form in 2017, posting the quickest time in official qualifying in Ski GP2.
The rider from Bergen, who took second spot in in GP1&2 in the European opener in Zadar, grabbed the pole in the closing stages with a best lap of 1.58.18s.
An impressive second place went to Estonian youngster Manni Marten with a time of 1.58.55, just over three tenths off a first pole in the senior division, after stepping up from GP3.3 and winning the world title in Spain last year. Third quickest was 19-year-old French rider Benjamin Scharff.
