Saturday, 15 June, Nyíregyháza-Levelek (Hungary): Round 1 winner Kevin Reiterer maintained his perfect record in the UIM-ABP European Championship and starts Moto 1 from pole position.
Victory Team’s Austrian rider is in a rich vein of form and coming off the back of his second world championship GP title of the year in Italy, was comfortably the fastest of the 12 in practice by 5.23s from Daniel Svae Andersson, and set the winning mark of 1:47.99s on his first and only lap in qualifying, Lukas Binar second quickest but 2.61s off the pace, Stian Schjetlein a further 1.02s back in third.
Estonia’s Yasmiin Ypraus ended championship leader Emma-Nellie Ortendahl’s perfect record in all competitions this season, taking pole ahead of her great rival by 1.65s with a 1.54.59 set on her only lap, Jonna Borgstrom who was fastest in the morning practice session just 0.15s back in third.
Andrea Guidi was the quickest in GP2 by a mere 0.61s from Severi Salonen, with Ypraus back out on the water and giving her male peers something to ponder going third quickest, Barnabas Szabo the pacesetter in GP3, Marcus Erlach in Ski GP1 Veterans.
In Ski Juniors 3.2 newly crowned world champion Ander Hubert Lauri’s was quickest in practice and followed that up with a best lap of 2:17.41 in qualifying to relegate round 1 winner Manuel Leiti to second spot. In 3.3 round 1 winner Mattias Reinas’ 2:04.04s lap edged out Severi Salonen by just 0.24s.
