SKI JUNIORS WORLD TITLES FOR LAURI AND LISETH

Sunday, 12 may, PORTIMAO (Portugal): Estonia’s Ander-Hubert Lauri and Norway’s Theodor Liseth produced two standout performances today in very tough and testing conditions to win the UIM-ABP Aquabike Ski Juniors World Championship in their respective categories, 3.2 and 3.3.

Lauri, 10, from Tallinn, defended his title in real style, winning all three Motos to card maximum points, with the UAE’s Rashed Taher finishing in second today to take the runners-up slot and Portugal’s coming home in third to complete the podium.

Lying in second place overall in 3.3 Liseth from Bergen overturned a two point deficit with a start-to-finish victory, Portugal’s Diogo Barbosa finishing today’s Moto in fifth to take the runners-up slot, with last year’s champion Mattias Reinaas taking second and completing the podium.
