Sunday, 20 September: Aquabike Promotion is pleased to announce that the second and final round  of the 2020 UIM-ABP Aquabike World Championship will be held in Olbia, Sardinia, Italy, from October 30th to November 1st.

 

Originally scheduled at the begining of June, the Grand Prix was postponed several times due to Covid-19 emergency.

 

The race in Sardinia is the result of months of non-stop work and a successfull and strong partnership with the local authorities which have played a key role in supporting the organisation of the Grand Prix and never gave up on the idea of hosting the event.

 

“I want to thank all parties involved in the organization of the event- said Raimondo di San Germano Aquabike Promotion General Manager- it wouldn’t be possible without the strong support of Regione Sardegna, the city of Olbia, the Italian Powerboat Federation (FIM) and the UIM” .

 

The event will be based at Molo Brin in Olbia’s harbour and is expected to attract an international line up of riders competing in Ski Gp1,  Runabout GP1,GP2, GP4, Ski Ladies and Freestyle.
