DUPORTE EARNS OPENING SKI JUNIOR 3.3 MOTO WIN AFTER ARTHEBISE IS DISQUALIFIED

Friday, July 26: Quentin Duporte of France clinched victory in the opening Ski Junior 3.3 Moto after Belgian Maxime Arthebise was disqualified after the opening race at the Grand Prix of Vichy on Friday.

Arthebise had reached the finish 26.57 seconds in front of the Frenchman but was later deemed to have encroached on an alternative course and was duly disqualified. That decision lifted Mio and Via Petrovic into second and third places and Mansour Abuljadayel into fourth. Hungarian racer Lajos Komonyi was also disqualified for a similar offence.
