Friday, October 4: H2O Racing’s founder Nicolò di San Germano today signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Yiyi Tech Company Limited to work with the Chinese company’s brand Ewave, a leading electric surfboard and Formula enterprise that promotes environmentally friendly water sports with zero emissions.
The agreement was signed in Shanghai before the opening free practice session for the fourth round of the 2024 UIM F1H2O World Championship.
Marking the first steps to a new era in aquabik-E, Ewave’s long-term strategy fits closely with the goals of both the UIM and H2O Racing. The agreement will see a focus on mutual development of more technologically advanced water sporting events, the establishment of an international electric Formula racing brand and the growth of electric Formula water sports.
H2O Racing’s founder Nicolò di San Germano said: “We are honoured to have established a partnership with Yiyi Technology Co. Ltd. It is a forward-looking company in the sports industry, dedicated to integrating global top-tier sports resources, including brand, international events and operational resources. With a scientific approach to the sports industry, they offer a one-step service that fills a unique gap in the current market.
“H2O Racing has been closely following their growth and development and we fully recognise the potential of the market they have chosen and have great respect for their team’s professionalism and innovation. This confidence in Yiyi Technology Company’s future potential has led us to invest and officially become a part of the company.”
Ewave jetboards are produced and developed in China. The first Ewave jetboard was released in 2019 after four years of development. The company now manufactures all components for its boards, although Ewave e-surfers are sold across the world.
