Monday, April 7: Having applied the finishing touches and arranged the complex logistics, Aquabike Promotion is delighted to announce a challenging four-round UIM-ABP Aquabike Circuit Pro World Championship calendar and a four-race UIM-ABP European Continental Championship for 2025.
World Championship racing gets underway with the UIM-ABP Aquabike Endurance World Championship on August 13th-15th and round one of the UIM-ABP Circuit Pro World Championship on August 16th-17th in Indonesia. Spectacular volcanic Lake Toba will host racing for a third season, following on from the thrilling action that took place there in November last year.
The scenic town of Torre dell’Orso, near Lecce, in the Italian region of Puglia will host the second round of the World Championship on September 26th-28th on the Adriatic Sea. This race marks the championship’s return to the region for the first time since 2018.
Molo Brin in Olbia, on the beautiful north coast of the Italian island of Sardinia, will then host the Regione Sardegna Grand Prix of Italy, round three of the World Championship, on October 17th-19th.
The final round of the 2025 World Championship will be hosted by the Doha Marine Sports Club (DMSC) and sees racing returning to Qatar for the first time since 2015. The Middle East round of the World Championship will take centre stage on October 30th-November 1st.
The UIM-ABP European Continental Championship has also been extended from three to four rounds and returns to Poland, in Jeziorsko, a dam reservoir on the Warta River, for the opening Grand Prix on May 30th-June 1st.
Competitors will then move on to the coastal town of Mira in Portugal, which will host round two of the series on July 4th-6th in conjunction with the Federação Portuguesa de Motonáutica (FPM).
Hungary hosted the opening round last year but will be the third round of the 2025 European Championship on August 1st-3rd. A course off Zámoly Beach at an old quarry lake in Győrzámoly, near Győr, will host the bulk of the racing, although Freestyle activities will be switched to a spectator viewpoint on the Danube-Rába confluence in front of the Kossuth Bridge in Győr.
The Grand Prix of Hungary will also host the single round of the Ski Juniors GP3.3 / GP3.2 and Runabout Junior GP4 Aquabike World Championship.
The Allier River in Vichy will host the Grand Prix of France, the final round of the European Continental Championship and the European Endurance Championship, on September 5th-7th.
