FRANCE AND USA DOMINATE LIST OF OFFICIAL RIDERS FOR 2025

 

Monday, May 19:  Racers from France and the United States of America dominate the list of 53 official riders that has been issued by Aquabike Promotion in advance of this year’s UIM-ABP World Aquabike Championship.

The full list includes jet ski racers from 20 countries across the four racing disciplines – Runabout GP1, Ski Division GP1, Ski Ladies GP1 and Freestyle – but France makes up an impressive 13 on the list, followed by six from the USA and five from Sweden. 

The World Championship will fire into life on Indonesia’s Lake Toba in mid-August but the list of Runabout GP1 entrants already includes 18 official riders. Defending World Endurance champion François Medori and Jérémy Perez represent France among the list that also includes the Swedish Runabout GP1 world champion Samuel Johansson, American veteran Anthony Radetic, Portugal’s Lino Araùjo, Czech Martin Doulik, Pole Andrzej Wisniewski and Hungarian György Kasza.

The American duo of Juan Criz Lezcano and Tory Snyder, Frenchman Pierre-François Savelli and Dane Rasmus Koch Hansen round off the Runabout GP1 list.

Five French riders are among those in the fiercely-competitive Ski Division GP1 category. They include Morgan, Mickael and Jérémy Poret, Axel Courtois and Valentin Dardillat. Defending champion Quinten Bossche, from Belgium, Dane Oliver Koch Hansen and Japan’s Toshi Ohara.

Additional racers include Swiss Alec Enderli, the Belgian duo of Yoni Hamelin and Anthony Beernaut and Canada’s Maxence Russel.

The defending UIM-ABP World and European champions, Jasmiin Ypraus and Benedicte Drange, are just two of 11 Ski Ladies GP1 riders on a list that also includes former world champion Jessica Chavanne, her French rivals Estelle Poret and Virginie Morlaes, Portugal’s Joana Graça and the Swedish duo of Sofie Borgström and Janina Johansson. Naomi Benini, River Varner and Jonna Borgström round off the list.

Team Abu Dhabi’s World Champion Rashid Al-Mulla and the current European Champion Roberto Mariani are joined by Portugal’s Paulo Nuñes on the list of Freestyle riders, alongside Italy’s Massimo Accumolo.
