Levelek is an ancient Hungarian settlement in Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg county. It is located 22 km from Nyíregyháza along the main road 41, between Nyíregyháza and Vásárosnamény. The town has well-functioning public transport, easily accessible by rail and highroads. Due to the nature of the center, it is an ideal starting point for exploring the area.
The area of the Levelek lake is ~ 200 hectares. The open-air beach in Levelek opened in June 2000. Its environment is defined by beautifully designed, well-kept grasslands and willow trees. The lake is a popular destination for people looking to fish and play sports.
